银行卡清算市场向外资开放后，单一带有VISA、万事达等卡组织标识的银行卡在中国境内POS机上无法受理的局面将成为历史。
From June, foreign companies can apply for bank card clearing services by setting up Chinese branches or acquiring a local partner, according to the rules.
根据规定，6月份起，外企可以通过在中国设立分支机构或收购当地企业的方式从事银行卡清算业务。
新规要求，在中国境内从事银行卡清算业务（bank card clearing），应当向中国人民银行提出申请（applying for licenses），注册资本（registered capital）不低于10亿元人民币，经批准后依法取得银行卡清算业务许可证。
未来，VISA、万事达（MasterCard）、美国运通（American Express）等，都可能通过其会员银行在中国境内从事银行卡清算业务（bank card clearing），发行人民币信用卡（yuan-denominated credit card）。也就是说，除了消费者已经使用多年的银联卡（UnionPay card），以后将有更多品牌的银行卡可供选择。
