China shares extended losses on Tuesday, sinking to their lowest levels since early 2009, with the financial sector again hard hit on expectations that an official crackdown on easy credit and tighter funding conditions will persist.
中国股市周二继续下跌，已至2009年初以来最低点，因预期央行打击宽松信贷和银行资金紧张情况仍将持续，金融板块周二再受重创。
To extend losses指“损失扩大”，对股市来说就是“继续下跌”。表示股票价格“下跌”的动词很多，像sink，dive，nosedive， plunge，plummet， tumble等这些动词都是形容股票的“大幅下跌”，如：The Shanghai Composite Index dived 5.3 percent。表示股票“小幅下跌”，可以用dip，edge down，slip lower等。如果要表示股票“大幅快速下跌”，则可以用crash，collapse，crumble，slump等。
在股市里，open和close是很常用的两个词，前者是“开盘”，后者为“收盘”；那么对应的“开盘价”和“收盘价”则分别为opening price和closing price。股票的当日开盘价高于前一交易日 相关阅读
