SAO PAULO, March 3 -- Unseeded Chilean Nicolas Jarry booked a berth in his first ATP tour final by defeating Argentina's Horacio Zeballos in the Brasil Open on Saturday.
The 22-year-old hit 20 aces to win the semifinal 6-7 (7), 6-4, 6-4 in the ATP 250 clay-court event.
He will meet Italy's Fabio Fognini in Sunday's final after the second seed swept aside Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay 6-4, 6-2.
"It's incredible, I am so happy to have this opportunity, this experience," Jarry said.
"I was close to reaching the final [of the Rio Open] last week and here I was able to maintain my focus," he added.
