TEHRAN, July 1 -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will start his official visit to Switzerland on Monday to hold talks with his Swiss counterpart Alain Berset and top officials on a host of issues, including bilateral ties, official IRNA news agency reported on Sunday.
Rouhani heads a high-ranking political and economic delegation which will sign a number of cooperation agreements between Tehran and Bern in various political, economic and cultural areas.
During his two-day trip to Switzerland, Rouhani will also attend a meeting with Iranian expatriates in the European country.
It was announced earlier that the Iranian president will leave Bern for the Austrian capital Vienna for talks on bilateral ties as well as international issues.
