ROME, Aug. 12 -- Italian Serie A side Udinese announced on Monday that Walace Souza Silva, a Brazilian midfielder, has signed with the club after ending his contracts with Hamburg and Hanover in the Bundesliga.
The 24-year-old Brazilian international has agreed a five-year deal with the Udinese, who ranked 12th in Serie A last season.
Walace started his career at Gremio. Later he moved to Germany in 2017, playing a season with Hamburg before moving to Hanover, who were relegated in May.
Technical manager Pierpaolo Marino praised Walace as "an important reinforcement" that can help to "balance the whole team."
He participated in the 2016 Copa America and won gold in the Rio Olympic Games the same year.
