VALLETTA, July 25 -- A group of 76 migrants have been rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta and disembarked at the naval base on Thursday afternoon.
The boat that the migrants travelled in was in distress within the Maltese search and rescue region, and the Maltese Armed Forces brought them to the naval base at around 6 pm.
The migrants, all men, claimed to be from South Sudan, Guinea and Ghana, according to the Armed Forces of Malta.
This is the second time in July that a vessel with migrants has arrived on Maltese shores.
Earlier this month, 44 migrants, including a baby, were brought to Malta after they were rescued at sea. Enditem
