SANAA, July 6 -- Yemen's Houthi rebels said they launched on Saturday new drone attacks against the Saudi airports of Jizan and Abha in southwestern Saudi Arabia, the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.
The bomb-laden drones targeted military aircraft hangars and other facilities at the airports, said a Houthi military spokesman in a statement.
Saudi Arabia has yet to confirm the attacks on the airports.
The two airports have been targeted by the Houthis several times in recent days. However, most of the missiles were intercepted by Saudi air defense forces.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a Arab military coalition against the Iran-allied Houthi rebels in Yemen for more than four years in support of the exiled internationally recognized government of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
