MINSK, June 4 -- China is a priority trading and investment partner for all the Eastern Partnership member states, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said Tuesday.
Dialogue with China is a promising geopolitical track for all the Eastern Partnership member states, the minister said.
He said among the shareholders and residents of the "Great Stone" Chinese-Belarusian industrial park are European companies, including Duisburger Hafen AG.
Therefore, he called for a package of measures to simplify the procedure for crossing the European Union (EU) border and improve logistics within the framework of the Eastern Partnership.
The planning of trilateral projects between China, the Eastern Partnership and the EU is considered useful for the efficient connection of transport systems, he added.
The Eastern Partnership is a joint initiative involving the EU, its member states and six Eastern Partner countries, namely Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
