BEIJING, April 29 -- Guangzhou Evergrande midfielder Anderson Talisca will be out for at least three weeks with knee ligament damage.
Talisca picked up the injury after scoring the winning goal in Evergrande's 1-0 win over Chongqing in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Sunday.
The Brazilian midfielder was taken to hospital for an MRI examination, which revealed he had knee ligament damage and a meniscus injury.
Though the timeframe for Talisca's return is uncertain, he will definitely miss Evergrande's upcoming matches against Beijing Guoan in the next round of the CSL, and South Korean side Daegu in the AFC Champions League.
Talisca was in superb form for Evergrande last season, scoring 16 goals in just 18 matches.
