BEIJING, May 2 -- Su Bingtian and Xie Zhenye will lead the Chinese men's 4x100m team to the IAAF World Relays Yokohama 2019, to be held from May 11 to 12, it was announced by the Chiense Athletics Association on Thursday.
Su and Xie will be joined by Jiang Hengnan, Liang Jinsheng, Wu Zhiqiang and Xu Zhouzheng. It will be the first time for Su and Xie to join hands after the 2017 National Games in Tianjin.
Wu Zhiqiang finished third in the men's 100m with a personal best time of 10.18 seconds in the 23rd Asian Athletics Championship in Doha last month, making him a promising sprinter. Xu Zhouzheng clocked 10.21 seconds in 2018.
As for opponents, American veteran Justin Gatlin, Jamaican Yohan Blake and Japanese Yoshihide Kiryu and Yamagata Ryota will lead their national teams respectively.
In the women's 4x100m relay, China's Ge Manqi, Huang Guifen, Kong Lingwei, Liang Xiaojing, Wei Yongli and Yuan Qiqi complete the list.
