BEIJING, Feb. 24 -- China Law Society has held 149 lawmaking seminars since 2017, playing a vital role in promoting well-conceived, democratic and law-based legislation.
Law professors, scholars and central government officials have been engaged in the seminars to discuss legislation of important laws, such as the country's draft civil code, charity law and cybersecurity law.
Moreover, the law society has organized more than 20 symposia focusing on judicial system reform.
China Law Society, with 720,000 individual members and 21,000 group members, has gathered a large number of law specialists. It vowed to build more communication platforms and play a better role in legislative consultation, and legal risk assessment of major government decisions.
