SARAJEVO, Oct. 1 -- Robert Prosinecki, coach of the national soccer team of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), on Monday here announced the list of players for the match against Northern Ireland in UEFA Nations League.
At the press conference, Prosinecki said that the match of the second leg here will be different than the one played in Belfast, and that visiting team will be motivated.
"Northern Ireland plays equally well in home and in guests, and now, they are coming to Sarajevo, and the game will be definitely different from the first one. These are the best players we currently have, with a few U21 young players on whom we can count on in the future," Prosinecki said.
He added that there is a great number of players who are expecting a call to play for the national team, but that he will think on new players for the next gathering.
The squad:
Goalkeepers: Ibrahim Sehic, Asmir Begovic and Vedran Kjosevski
Defenders: Darko Todorovic, Ognjen Vranjes, Toni Sunjic, Ermin Bicakcic, Ervin Zukanovic, Eldar Civic and Bojan Nastic
Midfielders: Muhamed Besic, Gojko Cimirot, Miralem Pjanic, Elvis Saric, Rade Krunic, Goran Zakaric, Haris Duljevic, Edin Visca, Sanjin Prcic and Deni Milosevic.
Forwards: Edin Dzeko, Kenan Kodro and Rijad Bajic
The first leg of the playoff was held in Belfast on Sept. 8, 2018, when visiting BiH won with the result 2-1. On Oct. 15, BiH national soccer team will host Northern Ireland at Grbavica stadium in BiH capital Sarajevo.
Currently, BiH team is on the first place of Group 3 with six points, which gives the great chance to win the placement in the semifinals of the League B.
