BRUSSELS, Sept. 28 -- Officials from China and the European Union (EU) have agreed to enhance dialogue and discussion on macroeconomic policies, a Chinese delegation said Friday upon the conclusion of a two-day visit here.
During the visit, Ning Jizhe, deputy head of China's National Development and Reform Commission and the Chinese delegation head, co-hosted the 8th China-EU macroeconomic policy dialogue with Marco Buti, director-general for economic and financial affairs at the European Commission, or the EU executive body.
Both sides discussed the two economies' macro economic situation and prospect, the trade frictions' impact, structural reform efforts, two-way investment and China-EU cooperation on investing in third markets, according to Chinese officials.
The two sides also touched on the topic of integrating the Belt and Road building with the EU Strategy on Connecting Europe and Asia.
