YANGON, Sept. 11 -- Myanmar's Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population announced Tuesday cancellation of arrival and departure card system starting Sept. 12.
According to the announcement, visitors will no longer need to fill in the arrival, departure cards at the Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw international airports.
The cancellation aims to promote the country's tourism sector as well as to attract more foreign visitors to the country.
According to the figures of the Hotel and Tourism Ministry, the country attracted over 1.72 million foreign visitors in the first half of this year, targeting over 7 million visitors by 2020.
