BEIJING, July 30 -- Cai Mingzhao, president of Xinhua News Agency, Monday met with Zvi Heifetz, Israeli Ambassador to China in Beijing, discussing ways to enhance media cooperation in the high-tech and innovation sectors.
Cai said Xinhua has always attached great importance to reports on Israel.
Noting that innovation cooperation is a highlight of China-Israel relations, Cai said Xinhua is willing to make joint efforts with Israel to increase media coverage in the high-tech and innovation fields, so as to advance the innovative comprehensive partnership between the two countries.
Cai briefed Heifetz on the latest achievements that Xinhua has scored in the areas of international news reporting, social media, short videos as well as research and development of new technology.
He hoped that media organizations from the two countries can deepen their cooperation in innovation.
Heifetz lauded the achievements that Xinhua has made in its development.
He said Israel will continue to support exchanges and cooperation between media organizations of the two countries, so that they can better share the benefits brought by science and technological innovation.
