全球管理咨询公司麦肯锡在最新发布的报告中指出，中国年收入超过10.6万人民币的新主流消费群在兴起，该群体更注重个人享受，更重视对个性的情感诉求，也更钟爱自己喜爱的品牌。

麦肯锡公司最近发布的2017年中国消费者年度报告中指出，一个新主流消费群正在中国兴起，在规模和购买力方面也正在快速推进。
New mainstream customers就是报告中所说的“新主流消费群”，他们的特点是：annual income above 106,000 yuan（年收入超过10.6万元），与broader mass shopper（大众消费者）有着截然不同的spending behavior（消费行为），购物时更注重emotional consideration（情感诉求），并且prefer online shopping（更爱网上购物）。
按照世界银行的标准，到2020年，中国将成为upper-middle income（中等偏上收入）国家。届时，新主流消费群将占到总消费人群的51%。
