美国使用“炸弹之母”轰炸阿富汗极端组织隧道

当地时间13日晚上7点，美军向阿富汗投放了被称为“炸弹之母”的大型空爆炸弹。此次袭击发生在阿富汗东部楠格哈尔省亚钦（Achin）地区，美军称他们的袭击目标是极端组织藏匿的隧道和基地。

The US military says it has dropped a 21,600lb (9,800kg) bomb on a tunnel complex used by Islamic State militants in Afghanistan.

“炸弹之母”GBU-43/B巨型空爆炸弹（Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb）是一种深钻地武器（deep-earth penetrator weapon），主要用于摧毁地下目标（underground target），爆炸时产生的威力（explosive yield，爆炸当量）相当于11吨以上的TNT炸药。该炸弹通过空军的飞机空投，在快到达地面时引爆，会形成巨大的爆炸半径（blast radius）。

威力仅次于原子弹的“炸弹之母”是美军在2003年伊拉克战争开始之后研发出的新型武器，在此前从未被使用过。

在被问及此次行动是否经过他授权时，美国总统特朗普表示：

“Everybody knows exactly what happened. What I do is I authorize my military. We have the greatest military in the world and they’ve done a job as usual. We have given them total authorization and that’s what they’re doing and frankly that’s why they’ve been so successful lately.”

"We targeted a system of tunnels and caves that ISIS fighters use to move around freely, making it easier for them to target US military advisers and Afghan forces in the area."
