Beginning college is exciting: new ideas to explore，new challenges to be met and many decisions to be made. Your future begins here.
However，you will find college life is different from your previous school environment. Many of us can be easily overwhelmed by the details of running a wellbalanced life. While some of us may have the knowhow，I guess there are more of us who can benefit from learning about the experiences of others who have walked the college halls before you.
The following you may find of use about life on campus.

Liu Xiang was the first Asian to win the men’s 110m hurdles at the Olympic Games in Athens. After that he became an idol to the young people.
When Liu Xiang crossed the finish line far ahead of the other players in a world record—equaling time of 12.91 seconds，many fans burst into tears. It was Liu’s first Olympics and he won the gold medal.
“I never thought I could run under 13 seconds，” said Liu in tears，“This is a wonder. It is an amazing experience being the Olympic champion. I want to thank my coach and my friends for all their help.”
When Liu was a Grade four student in a primary school，he was chosen by the Junior Sports School of Pudong District in Shanghai to practice jumping. In 1998 when Liu Xiang，aged 15，met the famous coach Sun Haiping，his career changed greatly. Just as what has happened on Liu Xiang，to be successful needs plenty of help from others besides personal working hard. Take me for example. I used to dislike English because I found it too difficult to learn so many words and phrases by heart. Luckily in my life，in Junior 2 a new English teacher came to our class. He was a tall middleaged man，skillful and experienced in teaching. He tried to encourage me and help me，and I can’t remembered exactly how many times he spent his spare time practicing spoken English with me after class. With his help，my English has improved greatly in many aspects.
I really appreciate this teacher’s help at my English study. But for his help，I think，I couldn’t write such an article in English，let alone communicate with penfriends of American and Australia online.
