RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's Santos are reportedly preparing an offer to sign forward Kayke from Japanese outfit Yokohama F. Marinos.
The eight-time Brazilian Serie A champions are hoping to secure the 28-year-old on a three year deal, according to widespread media reports.
Santos president Modesto Roma Junior is understood to be keen to finalise a deal within days as Santos prepare for the Copa Libertadores, South America's top club competition.
Fellow Brazilian top-flight club Gremio last week withdrew an offer for Kayke after the parties failed to agree financial terms.
Kayke scored four goals in 17 J-League matches last year after joining Yokohama F. Marinos from Flamengo.
