Richarlyson said his goodbye on Friday to the fans and administration at Sao Paulo FC.
After participating in his last practice at the team's headquarters, he wept after receiving the support and appreciation of his fellow teammates.
The 27-year-old midfielder played for five years at Sao Paulo. In his time there, he helped the team to win three Brazilian Championships and one Club World Cup title. During his 244 games with Sao Paulo, he scored 12 goals.
Richarlyson claims that he does not want to leave the team. However, the club's directory decided not to re-sign the midfielder. He will not play in the team's last match of the Brazilian Championship against Atletico-MG.
His future in Brazilian soccer remains uncertain. A team that has demonstrated interest in signing him is Fluminense.
