The 2010 Vietnam National Tennis Championship opened on Monday in Vietnam's central city of Danang, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The tournament attracted 60 athletes from 11 teams nationwide, said the report. They will compete in the events of men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
The annual sports event aims at choosing talents for the national team.
The championship is also part of the ongoing Sixth Vietnam Sports Festival.
The championship will conclude on Sept. 30, according to the report.
