Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his Cape Verde counterpart Ulisses Correia e Silva agreed on Monday to press ahead with third-party cooperation in various fields, in particular marine economy.
China is ready to advance cooperation with Cape Verde in the fields of marine economy, communications, tourism, education and safe city, while working together to cooperate with third parties, Li said at a meeting here with Correia e Silva.
Both leaders are in Macao to attend the opening ceremony of the fifth Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries on Tuesday.
Li urged the two countries to strengthen political mutual trust, lift the level of bilateral cooperation and promote bilateral cooperation to achieve new results, noting that bilateral ties between China and Cape Verde have made remarkable development since the two countries established diplomatic relations 40 years ago.
The Chinese premier said that China is willing to share its experience of poverty reduction with Cape Verde and encourage Chinese companies to invest in the African country for win-win results.
For his part, Correia e Silva said that his country would like to learn from the development experience of China, promote cooperation between the two countries and carry out third-party cooperation with China in areas such as marine economy.
