什么是“朋友区间”？

　　如果你喜欢的女孩把你当哥们而心里总挂念着别的帅哥，那么你很可能已经被放进了Friend Zone--“朋友区间”。你虽然不想要这种柏拉图式的友谊，但又不想和女孩彻底断交，所以也就只好无奈地接受了。

　　Friend Zone is a platonic friendship between two people one of whom wants the relationship to be romantic. You could fall into Friend Zone after you fail to impress the man or the woman you are attracted to.

　　“朋友区间”指的是两个人之间的柏拉图式的友谊，其中一个人希望能和对方发展出浪漫恋情。如果你没能让你喜欢的那个人对你倾心，那么你可能就会掉进“朋友区间”。

　　Some people said that only women get to have platonic friends while a man would never enjoy Friend Zone. The ‘friend zone’ is like the penalty box of dating, only you can never get out. Once a girl decides you’re her ‘friend,’ it’s game over. You’ve become a complete non-sexual entity in her eyes, like her brother, or a lamp.

　　有些人认为，只有女人才会有纯友谊，而男人永远不会喜欢待在“朋友区间”里。朋友区间就像约会中的受罚席，只不过你永远别想从受罚席离开。一旦一个女孩决定要和你做普通朋友，游戏就结束了。你在她眼中就变成了完全无性别的个体，就像她哥哥，或一盏灯。

　　For example:

　　I spent all that money on a date, just to find out she put me in the Friend Zone.

　　我在一个约会对象上花了好多钱，最终却发现她只想和我发展纯友谊。

　　Friend Zone的动词形式是Friend-ed。请看例子：

　　You know that hot girl I've been talking to? She just Friend-ed me.

　　你看见那个刚才和我讲话的辣妹了吗？她刚刚挑明和我只做普通朋友。
