也许是受到索尼《2012》的启发，20世纪福克斯公司最近买下了一个暂名为《夜曲》（Nocturne）的世界末日题材剧本，准备请《虎胆龙威4》（Live Free or Die Hard）、《黑夜传说前传》（Underworld: Rise of the Lycans）导演伦·怀斯曼（Len Wiseman）将其拍成电影。
这个剧本来自于一个原创的主意，说的是一群人在世界末日后存活了下来，但他们怎么落到这个地步的谜团却始终萦绕在他们脑海。目前福克斯正在寻找编剧修改剧本。
这段时间末日题材电影很走俏，除了埃默里奇的灾难大片《2012》外，由维果·莫特森（Viggo Mortensen）主演的《末日危途》（The Road）和丹泽尔·华盛顿（Denzel Washington）主演的《艾利之书》（The Book of Eli）也都把故事的背景放在了末日之后。不这股“末日风”会不会一直刮倒2012年。
