美国著名脱口秀主持人奥普拉·温弗瑞今日宣布由她领军的节目《奥普拉·温弗瑞秀》将于2011年9月9日正式停播。届时，正值该脱口秀节目开播25周年。
据报道，温弗瑞之所以决定放弃这档平均观众达710万人的脱口秀节目，是想要集中精力办好自己的有线电视频道——“奥普拉·温弗瑞电视网”。该频道将于2011年1月开播，总部设在洛杉矶，届时约7000万个美国家庭能收看此频道。
奥普拉·温弗瑞于1954年1月29日出生在美国密西西比州的科西阿斯科，19岁加入纳什维尔市的WVOL广播电台开始了她的广播生涯。1984年移居芝加哥，主持WLS电视台的早间脱口秀节目—《芝加哥的早晨》。一个月后，该节目成为脱口秀节目排行榜首位。不到一年时间，节目延长到1小时，并更名为《奥普拉·温弗瑞秀》。1986年，奥普拉又成立了自己的制片公司哈普公司，一举成为美国广播史上的典范，奥普拉也成为了美国娱乐界最有号召力的人物之一。
