　　1. live apart 分开住

　　e.g. The butterfly and the milkweed , although competitors in a way , cannot live apart .

　　蝴蝶和马利筋，虽然从某种角度来看是竞争对手，却又不能分开独立存活。

　　2. apart from除了

　　apart from有两种含义:

　　=besides 除...之外

　　e. g. Apart from sport, my other interest is music. 除了运动,我的另一个兴趣是听音乐.

　　=except for 如果没有

　　e.g. Apart from that, all goes well. 除了那一点,一切都正常

　　3. make/offer an apology to sb for sth. 因某事向某人认错或道歉

　　4. argue with sb. about sth. 与某人争论某事

　　e.g. Dont argue with me about it , my decision is final .

　　不要与我争论，我的决定是最后的了。

　　5. lay sth. aside放在一边

　　e.g. Lay aside bad habits .

　　请丢掉坏习惯。

　　e.g. I want you to lay aside these useless prejudices .

　　我希望你丢开这些无益的偏见。

　　6. ask sb. for advice / help 请某人指点/帮助

　　7. be astonished at sth 惊讶于.

　　e.g. She is astonished at the news.

　　她听到消息很震惊。
