　　2. make constant progressin intellectual education 解析：不断进步是指不断取得进步，取得进步用短语 make progress。不断应选择 constant。在智育方面作状语置于句末。

　　3. die of diseases linked to smoking 本句意为由最近调查显示，每年有 400 万人死于与吸烟有关的疾病。死于既可以用短语 die of 也可以用 die from，但考生应注意两者用法上的区别。与相关可以选用 related to，associated with，linked to。
