GRE词汇量要求
除了过于偏的专业词汇，再除去衍生词汇，综合历年的考试真题来算，GRE的核心词汇应该在10000出头;也就是说，一个已经掌握5000词汇的考生需要再增加5000以上单词才能够应付GRE考试。
在新GRE考试词汇量要求中，由于将类比反义词类题型取消，单词量要求相对减少，生僻词考查力度削弱，主要考查一些具有特征的单词，即使某个生词不认识也完全能根据上下文的语境把词的大致含义给推断出来。
虽然新GRE考试词汇要求降低，但是新GRE考试词汇量要求的变化并不是说考生可以对单词放松警惕，对于一些常见词汇还是应该掌握，像阅读、句子填空等题型都是以单词为基础的。
