GRE词汇量是很多考生的一个疑问，下面天道小编告诉大家，改革后的GRE词汇量要降低很多，GRE的核心词汇应该在10000左右。
在新GRE考试词汇量要求中，由于将类比反义词类题型取消，单词量要求相对减少，生僻词考查力度削弱，主要考查一些具有特征的单词，即使某个生词不认识也完全能根据上下文的语境把词的大致含义给推断出来。
从上述可以看出来，新GRE考试对词汇的要求降低了很多，但是新GRE词汇量要求的变化并不是说考生可以对单词放松警惕，对于一些常见词汇还是应该掌握，像阅读、句子填空等题型都是以单词为基础的。
