由于新gre考试新增句子填空更多的考单词的用法和精确含义，所以也不能忽视gre词汇的备考，虽然减少了对单词纯意义的考察，更加注重实际运用语言能力，但gre词汇仍是整个考试中的基础也是重点。
形近义近归纳法
由于在高端词汇当中，有很多词的形状是差不多的，这个称之为形近，又有很多单词意思是差不多的，这个称之为义近。在背诵时就可以把这些单词总结在一起背，以防混淆。
