　　世界上时间观念最强的是日本人，德国人，斯堪的那维亚人和英国人，他们在正式交往中都严守时间。在与西方人交往时可遵循下列原则：

　　(1)集会，约会按时到达。西方国家的会议和演出都是准时开始的，在活动开始前就座才符合礼节

　　(2)参加宴会提前几分钟。西方的宴会也是准时开始的，可在宴会开始前几分钟到达。提前太多会打乱主人的计划，而迟到则显得对其他客人很不礼貌。

　　(3)沙龙，舞会可迟到几分钟。这是西方人公认的;守时行为;，因为到了预定时间，一切工作已经准备就绪，主人这可以专门恭候客人了。

　　Im That Mans Tailor

　　A man went to see his doctor one day because he was suffering from pains in his stomach. After the doctor had examined him carefully, he said to him,;Well, theres nothing really wrong with you, Im glad to say. Your only trouble is that you worry too much. Do you konw, I had a man with the same trouble as you in here a few weeks ago, and I gave him the same advice as Im going to give you. He was worried because he couldnt pay his tailors bills. I told him not to worry his head about the bills any more. He followed my advice and when he came to see me again two days ago, he told me that he now felt quite all right again.;

　　;Yes, I know all about that,; answered the patient sadly,;You see, Im that mans tailor.;
