The Information Centre， where we can send e-mails to all parts of the world and get the latest information from the Internet， is open to both teachers and students. The Long-distance Teaching System is for the students who are not studying in our school. They can study at home if they have a computer. The School Management System helpes to improve our school management and meets the needs of this modern school.

　　　　Great Changes in My Hometown

　　　　I used to live in a small town with trees all around. There was no tall building and the only street was narrow. Just outside the town， there was a river. You can see different kinds of fish swimming in the clear water. People here lived a simple life.

　　　　Great changes have taken place here. You can see tall buildings， big department stores and factories everywhere. Different kinds of cars and buses are running in the big streets. But with the development of the industry， we have fewer trees. Air and water pollution is becoming more and more serious. We must do something to stop pollution and make our town even more beautiful.

　　　　Mrs Brown is an excellent physics teacher of our school. She is a good-looking woman， with gentle manners and a kind smile.

　　　　Mrs Brown likes her work very much. She works hard and makes every class perfect. Listening to her talk is an artistic treat indeed. She treats her students as her own children， not only strictly but also kindly. She always shows deep concern for them and makes great efforts to train them into persons of ability. All the students respect her very much.

　　　　The room in which I live and study is a small one， but not too small for me. My room is on the second（third）floor， which faces south.

　　　　There is a window in the front of my room，and a bed at the back. My desk is at the window in front of which is a chair. There is a bookcase to the left of the desk， and there are a lot of books on the bookcase. A lamp is on the desk. There are two pictures on the left wall， and a colour photograph on the right wall. I often clean it. I like my room very much.

　　　　I Love Beijing

　　　　Beijing， the capital of China， is a very beautiful and important city， which is one of the ancient cities in China. There are many famous wonders and beautiful spots， such as the Great Wall， the Forbidden City， the Summer Palace， Beihai Park and so on. Beijing is also the centre of politics， economy and culture of our country. Owing to the open-door policy， great changes have taken place since 1978. Many new houses and tall buildings can be seen everywhere. Peole's living condition is getting better and better. Beijing has been successfully in her bidding for the 2008 Olympic Games. I'm sure greater changes will take place in Beijing in the next few years. I love Beijing.

　　　　Perhaps autumn is the most pleasant season of the year. The weather is neither too hot nor too cold. It is the best time for going on a trip.

　　　　Last Sunday we went to the countryside. There was golden wheat all over the fields/The fields were covered with golden wheat. Large and colourful apples and pears were hanging on the trees. We could see some peasants were busy getting in the crops in the fields， and others were picking fruits under the trees. All the baskets were full of lovely fruits. It was also the fruit of the peasants' labour. No pains， no gains. What a magnificent/beautiful picture（it was）！ It seemed as if we were wandering in a splendid/wonderful world.

　　　　One day， a student named Tom in Grade One was smoking in the front of the classroom. At that time the headmaster Mr Green saw the student smoking and asked him which grade he was in. He told the headmaster he was in Grade One and that he couldn't read yet. Do you see the slogan NO SMOKING on the wall？ the headmaster asked. Students in the school are not allowed to smoke and it's a bad habit for students to smoke. We know smoking does harm to students' health. They must get rid of the bad habit as soon as possible.
