　　　　[考点] else作副词修饰不定代词或特殊疑问词，置于被修饰词之后，意为另外、其它，所有格形式是把else和所修饰的不定代词或特殊疑问词看作一个整体，然后加上s。

　　　　[点拨] 选C.由句中helping you to get round London可知应是这张地图很有价值。（be） of （great）value相当于形容词valuable.

　　　　[考点2] rest作名词意为其余的（部分或人），与定冠词连用，可以指代可数名词或不可数名词。

　　　　I have done much of the work. Could you please finish _____ in two days？（辽宁2004）

　　　　A. the rest B. the other C. another D. the others

　　　　[点拨] 选A.work此处为不可数名词，故可排除B、C、D.the other是两个当中的另一个；another是三者或三者以上当中的另一个；the others是复数形式，表示另外一些。
