德加表现芭蕾舞场景的作品甚多，他以她们的舞姿为媒介，通过对舞女的造型描绘表现出强烈的灯光反射效果。这幅《舞台上的舞女》，舞台布景与绿色的舞台地板衬托着强光下身着白纱的舞女，显得那么的虚无缥缈、绚丽变幻，光线与色彩组成了一个绝美的世界~
Edgar Degas is regarded as one of the founders of Impressionism. A superb draftsman, he is especially identified with the subject of dance, and over half of his works depict dancers or ballerinas. These display his mastery in the depiction of movement.
