　　Describe you favorite animal

　　Well, I think my favorite animal has to be the panda. Many people have seen pictures of them, and some have seen them in zoos. But Ive had the pleasure of seeing pandas and the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base in Chengdu, which is a research station.

　　The base is quite large and about 10-12 pandas live in the natural environment, which is much better then the zoo. Here youre guaranteed to see pandas during their feeding times. I managed to watch them having lunch and its astonishing to see how much they can eat. As we know, pandas mainly live on bamboos. However, they also eat other fruits and vegetables such as corns.

　　They look exactly like in the pictures, but even cuter when theyre only a couple of meters from you, moving slowly with their chubby body. Im attracted to the dark circles around their eyes, because they make it seem like the pandas are making different facial expressions.

　　I have been told about this animal since I was a kid and fell in love with them the minute they appeared live in front of my eyes. Not only because of their look, but also how the endangered species represent both the beauty and struggle of wildlife in China. Because of their rarity, pandas have become something of a totem in the Chinese culture.
