雅思口语考试文化常识：法律相关 对于雅思口语考试，仅仅知道所阐述的话题是远远不够的，要想在考试中脱颖而出，吸引考官的眼球，做到与考官的交谈时侃侃而谈，妙语连珠，还需要对雅思文化有清晰的认识。那么何为雅思文化呢？所谓雅思文化即英联邦国家基本文化常识和雅思考试要求的结合。下面为大家介绍雅思文化法律方面的知识。
议会法案 Act
由上议院和下议院通过，并由国王批准的法律。
（地方）法规（by--law）
有地方当局（如镇议会）通过的法律。
郡长（sheriff）
1、 在英格兰和威尔士，指一个县的首席执行官，主要负责一些仪式。
2、 在苏格兰，指法院的法官。
大律师（Barrister）
在英格兰，指那些曾经被叫到监狱或者被允许上庭的律师。大律师能够对法律事务提出建议并在高级法庭出庭。
条子（bobby）
对警察的一种诙谐称法，尤其适用于称呼友好的乐于助人的警察，如：管理交通的警察或者是给路人指路的警察。这个词常用在这样的短语中，如英国警察（the British bobby），步行或骑车执行巡逻任务的警察（the bobby on the beat）
极刑（caapital punishment）
以绞刑处死罪犯，英国1965年废除了死刑，在理论上仍可对叛国者处以死刑。如果用终生监禁代替极刑，那么通常以为这至少要坐20年的牢。
陪审团（jury）
由十二人组成的小组，他们允诺要根据在法庭上提供的案件证据作出裁决。一般情况下，他们的意见是完全一致的，但也有例外。如果由不超过两人的陪审员不同意，那么多数裁决有效，如果没有达成协议，那么案件必须被重审。
苏格兰场（Scotland Yard）
伦敦大都会警察局的总部的旧称，目前仍被警察局总部使用。
