　　These days, it is factual that children spend much time watching TV and video, as well as playing PC games. One of the most obvious reasons is that children, who are naturallycurious, cannot resist the temptation from the attractive programmes at all.

　　Those people who believe spending time on TV, video and PC game is damaging to children in many aspects. Probably, they point out that setting in front of a screen for too long time does harm to both eyes and physical posture of children. However, the most serious misgiving is that young children is negativelyaffected by the amount of violence and pornographicwhich are filled with video. Because they are lack of experience and self-control, so if there is no correct guidance, some of them will imitate the details of crimes shown in some videos or programmes.

　　Contrary to this view, others advocate that watching a proper amount of TV or video is really helpful for children to understand outside world. The evidence is based on that children, often watching TV, have a wider knowledge and a better understanding to our world. Also, it is an effective approachthat children can relax their stressful brains from intense study. Therefore, those activities are beneficial to childrens development.

But considering the potential problems, parents must ensuretheir children not spend too much time on it and give them a positive guide.
