It is vital for an individual to have a knowledge of history so that she is able to achieve the academic success and start a good career. To learn history is not like what has been believed to be boring and dry. Rather it is interesting, bright, and delighted to take in the knowledge and wisdom from the well of history. When talking with an old professor, a student is virtually learning from the experience of the professor. The experience is in essence history. When one wants to find a job, this person studys the businesses in which he or she is interested. What is this person studying? Is it the profits and culture of the business in the past? Yes! But what are they in essence? Are not they the history of the business? Clearly, to learn history is beneficial to the academic and career development.
The advantages, however, are not limited to individual life. Instead, they reveal themselves in the community. History contributes to the economic development in that history helps people understand what sustainable development means. In this sense, history does good to environment protection.
