什么样的生活“足迹极小”？

随着科技的发展，环境日益受到破坏，天不再蓝、水不再清的变化使人们开始注意自己的行为对自然的影响。如今，很多人不再喜欢铺张浪费，而崇尚那种返璞归真，尽量少影响环境的低碳生活(small-footpring living)。

什么样的生活“足迹极小”？

Small-footprint living refers to a lifestyle that minimizes one's impact on the environment.

“低碳生活是指一种将人对环境的影响降至最低的生活方式。

Small-footprint直译是“足迹极小，而根据词条的解释，我们可以看出，其实small-footprint中间是省略了carbon的。因此，这个词实际是“small carbon footprint living (碳足迹极小的生活)，也就是低碳生活。除了这种说法，low-carbon life也表达相同的意思。

For example:

Given their lower income relative to previous generations, many urban Millennials favor small-footprint living: studios, a few one bedrooms, some congregate housing, and micro-units.

考虑到相较前几代人收入水平较低，许多城市里的00后更喜欢低碳生活的方式：小型公寓房，一居室，集合公寓以及微型单元。
