南京大屠杀档案入选“世界记忆名录”

根据联合国教科文组织10月9日发布的消息，南京大屠杀档案正式列入世界记忆名录。

A total of 47 new nominations, including Documents of the Nanjing Massacre from China, are inscribed on the Memory of the World Register by the International Advisory Committee of UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme, announced Friday UNESCO in a press release.

联合国教科文组织10月9日公布了47个入选联合国教科文组织世界记忆工程国际咨询委员会《世界记忆名录》的项目名单，其中，中国的南京大屠杀档案榜上有名。

世界记忆名录(Memory of the World Register)是指符合世界意义、经联合国教科文组织世界记忆工程国际咨询委员会(International Advisory Committee of UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme)确认而纳入的文献遗产(documentary heritage)项目。

根据世界记忆项目的定义，文献遗产指的是具有信息内容和载体的一份、或有逻辑连贯性的一组文献，如一个集合(a collection)、馆藏(a holding)或档案全宗(an archival fonds)。

在总共47个入选项目中，中国申报的南京大屠杀档案(Documents of the Nanjing Massacre)入选，但另一份慰安妇档案(Archives about "Comfort Women")遗憾落选。

南京大屠杀档案共分三部分，分别包括1937年至1938年，日本侵略军占领南京期间大肆杀戮中国军民和平民的档案(the period of the massacre);1945年至1947年，对日本战犯调查和审判的档案(documents of the post-war investigation and trials of war criminals);以及1952年至1956年，中华人民共和国司法机构提供的文件(files documented by the judiciary authorities of the People's Republic of China )。

至此，在被列入“世界记忆名录的346份文献和文献集合中，来自中国的已达到10份。
