Authorities in the northern French port city of Calaissay police late Monday pushed back more than 2,000migrants trying to enter the Eurotunnel in hopes ofreaching Britain.

Eurotunnel officials described the migrant push asthe largest of several such attempts by thousands ofrefugees to gain entry into Britain in the past sixweeks. Eight migrant deaths have been reported atthe tunnel since mid-June.
