沃尔玛全资收购一号店

Walmarthas bought out the remaining stake of an ecommerce business it already controlled inChina, amid the continued push by traditional retailers into online sales.

沃尔玛(Walmart)买下它在中国已控股的一家电子商务企业的剩余股份。目前传统零售商纷纷进军在线销售。

The US group said on Thursday that it had acquired 49 per cent of Yihaodian, a Chineseecommerce business, for an undisclosed sum. It has held a 51 per cent stake in the group,which was founded in 2008, since 2012.

这家美国集团周四表示，已收购中国电商企业1号店(Yihaodian) 49%股份，交易金额不详。1号店成立于2008年。自2012年以来，沃尔玛已持有该店51%的股份。

The deal puts Walmart, which dominates offline retail in the US but has struggled to translatethat into success abroad, in more direct competition with Alibaba, the Chinese ecommercegroup. Jack Ma, Alibaba chairman, has predicted it will overtake the US retail chain in salesthis year.

沃尔玛在线下零售领域主导着美国市场，却一直难以在美国境外复制这一成功。这笔交易将使沃尔玛更加直接地与中国电商集团阿里巴巴(Alibaba)竞争。阿里巴巴的董事长马云(Jack Ma)曾经预计，今年该集团销售额将超过这家美国零售连锁店。
