One Brooklyn, New York couple is teaching their daughter about women's history in what is probably the cutest way possible.

Photographer Marc Bushelle and his wife Janine wanted their five-year-old daughter Lily to learn a bit about 'heroines' in history. So the couple picked a few favorites and dressed Lily up, recreating photos of iconic women, both living and dead, who made a difference.

'I wanted Lily to be able to identify with them and, in turn, build her sense of self-worth,' Mr. Bushelle wrote in an article on BoredPanda. 'I wanted her to be able to see herself as a future heroine.'

Though the proud father had photographed his daughter in the past, he first started sharing pictures of Lily dressed as famous figures on Facebook and Instagram in March.
