Search efforts at the cabin of the wrecked Eastern Star ship have largely ended at around 10:30 am, Saturday.

Scattered water search and rescue operations and salvage work of passengers' belongings had then immediately begun following instruction from the forward command post.

根据前方指挥部指示，即刻起转入水面零星搜救和遗物打捞。

The confirmed death toll from the Eastern Star shipwreck on the Yangtze River has reached 406. Only 14 survivors have been found, while another 36 remain missing.

目前，"东方之星"长江沉船事件确认遇难者人数已升至406人，仅有14人幸存，仍有36人下落不明。

Jiang Zhao, general manager of the company which operated the Eastern Star, bowed in apology for the disaster during an interview with media on Friday evening, saying they would "fully" cooperate with the investigation.

5日晚，"东方之星"运营公司总经理姜曌接受媒体采访时，就客船翻沉事件鞠躬致歉，并表示将"全力"配合调查。

The headquarters will hold a memorial at the rescue site Sunday to pay respects to the dead.

7日，前方指挥部将在沉船搜救现场举行悼念活动，表达对逝者的哀悼。
