淘宝因打假不力或被美国列入“恶名市场”

The American Apparel and Footwear Association has asked the Office of the US Trade Representative and the Securities and Exchange Commission to add Taobao to the Notorious Market list, an official report that identifies Internet marketplaces dealing in infringing goods.

美国服装和鞋类协会近日请求美国贸易代表办公室和美国证券交易委员会将淘宝加入恶名市场名单，这份官方报告收录的是经营侵权商品的网络市场名单。

Notorious Market list就是“恶名市场名单，notorious的意思是“声名狼藉的，臭名昭著的。美国服装和鞋类协会指出，significant presence of counterfeit products on Taobao(淘宝假货泛滥)已经使其蒙受了数百万美元的经济损失，其中包括lost sales(销售损失)、reputational damage(声誉损害)、legal costs(法务成本)和exhaustion of internal resources(内部资源的消耗)。

对此阿里巴巴回应称，公司致力于打击假货，包括对淘宝疑似假货进行random checks(随机抽查)，采用data-mining technology(数据挖掘技术)分析和追踪侵权商品的交易，以及提供online complaint forum(投诉论坛)等。
