A: How was your date with Ellen?
B: She was completely churlish. She walked ahead of me down the street and didn’t wait for me to catch up and she finished eating before me at dinner and started reading at the table!

A: 你和Ellen的约会怎么样？
B: 她简直就是个土老冒。在街上她一直走在我前面，我都跟不上。吃饭时她比我先吃完，然后居然在饭桌上看起书来了！

A: I’m never going to another sporting event in New York.
B: Why not?
A: Because all the fans are loudmouthed. They all yell at the players and are rude to each other.
