中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平7月28日在亚洲基础设施投资银行第五届理事会年会视频会议开幕式上致辞。习近平指出，亚投行应该成为促进成员共同发展、推动构建人类命运共同体的新平台。

President Xi Jinping called for making the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) a new platform that promotes development for all its members and facilitates the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks on July 28 when addressing via video link the opening ceremony of the fifth annual meeting of the AIIB.

他提出，要把亚投行打造成推动全球共同发展的新型多边开发银行、与时俱进的新型发展实践平台、高标准的新型国际合作机构和国际多边合作新典范。

He called for efforts to make the AIIB a new type of multilateral development bank that promotes development across the world, a new type of development platform progressing with the times, a new type of high-performance institution for international cooperation and a new paradigm of multilateral cooperation.

2020年7月28日，亚洲基础设施投资银行第五届理事会年会视频会议开幕。亚洲基础设施投资银行，简称亚投行，是一个政府间性质的亚洲区域多边开发机构，按照多边开发银行的模式和原则运营，重点支持基础设施建设，于2017年12月正式宣告成立。多边开发银行是为发展中国家的经济和社会发展活动提供资金援助和专业咨询的机构，它是国际发展公共机构，其中历史最悠久也是最有影响的是1944年建立的世界银行。亚投行是首个由中国倡议设立的多边金融机构。

在亚投行第五届理事会年会视频会议开幕式上，习近平在致辞中指出，4年多来，亚投行按照多边开发银行模式和原则运作，坚持国际性、规范性、高标准，实现良好开局。从最初57个创始成员携手起航，发展到今天的来自亚洲、欧洲、非洲、北美洲、南美洲、大洋洲等六大洲的102个成员齐聚一堂，亚投行不断发展壮大，已经为成员提供了近200亿美元的基础设施投资。亚投行朋友圈越来越大、好伙伴越来越多、合作质量越来越高，在国际上展示了专业、高效、廉洁的新型多边开发银行的崭新形象。中国将始终支持和践行多边主义，以开放、合作、共赢精神继续同各成员一道支持和办好亚投行，为国际社会应对风险挑战、实现共同发展作出更大贡献。

【重要讲话】

全球抗击新冠肺炎疫情的实践表明，人类是休戚与共、风雨同舟的命运共同体，唯有相互支持、团结合作才是战胜危机的人间正道。解决经济全球化进程中出现的矛盾，各国应该努力形成更加包容的全球治理、更加有效的多边机制、更加积极的区域合作。亚投行应该成为促进成员共同发展、推动构建人类命运共同体的新平台。

The global response to COVID-19 has made it clear that mankind rise and fall together in a community with a shared future. Mutual support and cooperation in solidarity are the only way for mankind to overcome crises. To address issues emerging in the course of economic globalization, countries should pursue more inclusive global governance, more effective multilateral institutions, and more robust regional cooperation. In this context, the AIIB may grow into a new platform that promotes development for all its members and facilitates the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
