BEIJING, July 15 -- China firmly opposed and strongly condemned the move of the U.S. side of signing the so-called "Hong Kong Autonomy Act" into law, said a statement released on the foreign ministry's website Wednesday.
China will make necessary responses to protect its legitimate interests, and impose sanctions on relevant personnel and entities of the United States, said the statement.
