6月15日，第127届中国进出口商品交易会The 127th China Import and Export Fair, popularly known as Canton Fair, kicked off online on June 15, a first for the decades-old trade fair, in south China's Guangdong province. This year's online fair, which will last for 10 days, has attracted around 26,000 enterprises in 16 categories with 1.8 million products. The fair will provide round-the-clock services, including online exhibitions, promotion, business docking and negotiations.

6月12日，广州轻出集团股份有限公司员工在排练直播。中国进出口商品交易会，又称广交会，创办于1957年春，每年春秋两季在广州举办，由商务部和广东省人民政府联合主办，中国对外贸易中心承办，是中国目前历史最长、规模最大、商品种类最全、到会采购商最多且分布国别地区最广、成交效果最好、信誉最佳的综合性国际贸易盛会，被誉为中国外贸的晴雨表和风向标，是中国对外开放的窗口、缩影和标志。

今年以来，突如其来的新冠肺炎疫情，给中国经济造成了冲击，也让全球贸易遭遇重挫。在这样的背景下，举办“网上广交会”继续为中外客商提供重要贸易平台做生意，是中国所需、世界所盼，也是扎实做好“六稳”工作、落实“六保”任务的重要举措。“网上广交会”呈现了新平台、新技术、新内容、新营销、新服务、新机遇，摒弃对传统模式的简单复制，不仅为全球客商足不出户谈生意、做买卖提供了便利与服务，而且为网上洽谈、网上办展、直播带货、跨境电商等新模式、新业态提供了发展机遇，可谓“新”意十足。

“网上广交会”的举办，依靠的是活力十足的中国互联网产业，是持续推进的5G、云计算、大数据、人工智能、工业物联网等新型数字基础设施建设，是体系完整、韧性十足的制造产能，更是一个国家“稳外贸”的坚定决心和拥抱全球化为世界经济发展作出贡献的强烈信念。

新形势下，广交会要创新体制机制、商务模式，提高服务水平，支持广大参会企业互利共赢、共同发展，更好发挥全方位对外开放平台作用，在更高层次上运用两个市场、两种资源，为推动我国开放型经济发展、促进开放型世界经济发展作出新的更大的贡献。

Under the new circumstances, the Canton fair should innovate its mechanism and business model to facilitate win-win cooperation and common development for participants. The event should strengthen its role as a platform of opening-up for enhanced utilization of markets and resources at home and abroad, and make new and greater contributions to the open economy of China and the rest of the world.
