暖心！这张来自意大利的明信片，寄给所有中国人

最近，双语君遇到一件十分暖心的事儿。

5月7日，我们的同事、中国日报记者李洋在报社收发室发现了一张来自意大利博洛尼亚的明信片，落款为Frank。他/她写道：“中国有古老的文明，疫情肆虐之时，愿上帝保佑你们和世界共渡难关。”

让人动容的是，明信片的寄出时间是2020年1月29日，当时正是中国最困难的时候。

经过3个多月，这张承载着对所有中国朋友祝福的明信片，漂洋过海来到了我们身边。

 My dear China people,

我亲爱的中国朋友们：

You are the first civilization of this world, and my city of Bologna, have the first university in the world of Law A.D. 1088.

中国是世界上最古老的文明，而公元1088年在我的城市博洛尼亚诞生了世界上第一所法学院。

If the China need something, to ask and to have everything the people need, because in this city everybody is one Marco Polo.

如果中国有任何需求，只要开口我们定当竭力相助，博洛尼亚每一位市民都是“马可·波罗”。

God bless all Chinese people in this bad situation. I trust in God for you and for the world.

疫情肆虐之时，愿上帝保佑中国人民。我会为你们和世界向上帝祈祷。

Frank Mantova

这张迟到的明信片，让我们感动不已。

李洋给这位来自意大利博洛尼亚的朋友Frank写了一封回信，送上来自中国的祝福。

 Dear Frank Mantova of Bologna,

尊敬的弗兰克·曼托夫：

I stumbled across a postcard addressed to "China people" on a desk in China Daily's mail office on the night of May 7.

周四下晚班，我偶然在报社收发室的桌子上发现了一张写给“中国人民”的明信片。

It's heartwarming to read your sincere wishes to the Chinese people and the world during the COVID-19 pandemic.

你对中国人民以及全世界抗击疫情的真诚祝福读来让人暖心。

I noticed you posted it on Jan 29, during the most difficult stage in China's battle against the virus.

我注意到你是1月29日从博洛尼亚寄出的这张明信片，那是中国抗击疫情最困难的阶段。

That it took more than three months for the postcard to come all the way to our hands — much faster than Marco Polo — has only made it more valuable.

这张明信片用了三个多月才送到我们手中，比马可·波罗快了不少，这更显出了它的珍贵。

At this time the situation is better in China, but has worsened in many other countries, including Italy.In facing this common enemy, it is the spirit of mutual assistance your message has embodied that helps us weather the storm.

现在中国疫情基本控制住了，包括意大利在内的许多其他国家形势依然严峻。面对共同的敌人，正如你信中所示，团结互助才能让我们共克时艰。

I hope all goes well with you and the Italian people, who have always emerged stronger from ordeals in their long history.

衷心希望你以及所有意大利人民一切安好。那是一个有着悠久历史的国家，相信意大利必将战胜疫情。
